                                            AIMP

Training

  •  AIMP and EdRockMan’s personnel will, through routine and frequent interaction, work together to close sales opportunities globally.
  •  EdRockMan will provide you promotional material and product literature.

Background
The American Institute of Mineral Processing (AIMP) provides in-depth knowledge of mine development issues and processes. We are uniquely positioned to help clients make the most of their assets and opportunities.
The mineral processing industry has a demand for a highly-trained and professional workforce. Such a workforce enables the related industries to meet the needs of government and consumers worldwide for construction materials and mining processes. Worldwide projections for a rise in the requirement for infrastructure development will place an increasing demand on the industries to locate and extract the required aggregates and minerals. Such provision to assist in meeting this demand for a highly trained professional workforce seldom exists.

Our Goal
The goal of the American Institute of Mineral Processing is to provide Skilled Education (SE), Professional Education (PE), and Continuing Education (CE) courses aimed to provide the candidate with competence in their discipline.

Our Mission
Supply the aggregates, minerals and mining industry with applied and profit-increasing knowledge within the area of mineral processing.

Courses
AIMP offers over 175 courses in a variety of subjects in mining including business, management and technical, and optimization. The goal of the AIMP is to provide Skilled Education (SE), Professional Education (PE), and Continuing Education (CE) courses aimed to provide the candidate with competence in their discipline.:
  • Introductory: These courses provide an overview of the subject matter without a lot of technological details.
  • Professional Education (PE) Courses: For students who are in the process of obtaining or already possess a degree in a related subject (e.g. mining engineering), but need mineral specific processing knowledge.  Also useful for those in industrial supply, manufacturers, or sales and would like to gain knowledge of mineral processing in order to better serve their specific industry customers.
  • Skilled Education (SE) Courses: For consultants and sales professionals who would like to gain knowledge in a wider sense within the international mineral processing environment in order to support the service that they provide, plus entry level students and/or workers.
Most courses are four days long and include six lecture hours per day (24 hours total) with several breaks and a one hour lunch. A written test is taken on the last day.
A certificate bearing the seal of the AIMP is issued when the student has successfully completed certification requirements for a specific course. Certification confirms that the student has achieved the learning objectives of a specific course.  Continuing Education Credits are governed by the IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training). AIMP adopts the IACET Guidelines and Criteria for qualification of courses for certification.

Most courses run Tuesday through Friday. In the USA, courses are typically offered in:
  • Monterey, California
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Miami, Florida
