Question, Answer and discussion time.
Day Three
(Crushing and Screening Seminar)
8:00 to 9:00 the art of cone crusher liner selection
The selection of the proper liners, feed opening, closed side setting, volume and metallurgy can tune your crusher to the application. Optimize you crusher performance and maximize the liner life.
Question, Answer and discussion time.
9:00 to 10:30 Mass Flow Balance of Crushing plants.
Using Computer Flow Diagram analysis, local product pricing and demand, product proportions and availability, the profitability of each plant can vary significantly. This Couse addresses how to maximize the most profitable product and minimize low value products and waste products.
Question, Answer and discussion time.
10:30 to 11:00 AM Break
11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Stationary, Portable and Mobile plants
What is the advantage, disadvantage and application for Stationary, Portable and Mobile aggregate processing plants?
Question, Answer and discussion time.
12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Lunch
2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Quaternary Crushers and sand production
In many areas the sources of natural sand are in short supply. Rock can be crushed to sand for asphalt sand or to meet the requirements of ASTM C-33 sand with FM’s less than 2.9. Often called Man Sand meaning manufactured sand from rock requires some special details to make the sand usable for concrete without complaints from the people placing the resulting concrete. We will covering High Speed cones, VSI Rotor and anvil, VSI rotor and rock box, HPGR (High pressure grinding rolls)
Question, Answer and discussion time.
3:30 PM to 5:00 PM Plant Automation, availability, and solving processing problems
The use of automation can keep all your crusher choke fed for the majority of the day. Belt scales can give feedback that can be used to optimize your crusher settings resulting in longer liner life and more production. Consistent feed gradations and rates result in better particle shape and more controlled quality and specifications. At this time we will also address any specific production and equipment selection questions that the audience may have.
Question, Answer and discussion time.
Attendees will be encouraged to send us flow diagrams of their plant and operation. Ask any questions about production, maintenance and processing problems or equipment choices and selection and comparison of types of equipment beforehand so that information can be integrated into the course. Although the course allocates a certain amount of time for each subject we will not move on to the next subject in the course until all the questions are answered from the current course and subject matter. Depending on the background of the people attending this could be changed to more of an aggregate or mining concentration or from beginning to expert course content.
We will build power point presentations based on this subject matter but could use the power point presentations for the CMM101 Crushing and screening in mining and aggregate industry. If you have any additions or ideas for changes let me know. If we need to add more content we could change the hours from 8 to 5 to 7 to 6 or shorten the lunch hour to one hour. Could also change to working lunch.
If needed we could also develop a 20 question test after each session to meet some requirements for testing the knowledge that should be retained from each course. This could be take home test so as not shorten the course time.
